Research Interests

Endre Sik (DSc) is a research professor at the Centre for Social Sciences and professor emeritus at the Eötvös Loránd University of Budapest. He earned his DSc in 2006. His major research fields are labour market, migration, informal economy, network capital, border studies, xenophobia and discrimination. Since 2005 he is the member of IMISCOE and since 2010 of the Baganha committee. In Hungary he is the member of various committees at the OTKA and NKFI. In the past ten years he was the head of research of several EU projects, e.g. within the EU 7th Framework: WORKCARE Synergy, Concordia Discors, Euborderegions, STYLE, and within Horizon2020: CEASEVAL and Bridges. Since 2010 he was the head of research or a participant of four research projects. In the past five years he published 18 books, book chapters or articles in Hungarian and 10 in English.
